About
The person behind the concierge.
How I got here
I’m Charlie. My background is in finance, with experience in investment banking, private equity, and private credit. Although far from the world of beauty clinics and cosmetics, I did build an interest in healthcare and technology, putting me on the path to founding The Beauty Clinic Concierge. Along with this interest, I developed a habit of looking for the dull, unglamorous places where value is quietly lost in an otherwise good business.
I’ve been passionate about building a business since primary school, first trying to be the playground lolly merchant, then selling vintage clothing, and finally trying my hand at building a boat share platform. Throughout university I became fascinated by AI and how it can be used to make work — particularly the boring stuff — more efficient.
Like you, I have no love for admin, but inevitably it seems to pile up: the inbox that’s full before the day starts, the ‘to-do list’ that somehow gets longer, or the background noise of a few unanswered messages. For a clinic owner that pile isn’t admin, though. It’s patients. Same feeling, higher stakes… and that’s why I wanted to build this.
Consumer, beauty and wellness is a world I’ve always been drawn to: the businesses are personal, client relationships are built on trust and confidence, and the difference a good clinic makes to how someone feels can be life-changing. It felt like a space with a problem I can help fix while doing work I’m proud of.
How I work, and what I believe
When you work with the Concierge, you work with me — not a ticket queue, not an offshore team. In the early weeks I tune every conversation myself, because an agent booking consultations for a skin clinic has to sound like that clinic, follow AHPRA rules without being reminded, and know the difference between a question it can answer and a medical concern that needs a real nurse. That judgement doesn’t survive being handed off. You can always reach an actual person here, because the actual person is the one who built it.
I’m a Sydney local with a passion for health and wellness, and love getting into the outdoors and competing in endurance events.
- A clinic should never have to lose a patient to silence.
- Technology should take admin away, not move it somewhere else.
- Someone trusting a clinic with their beauty and their confidence needs a first reply that’s fast, warm and human — even at midnight, even when everyone’s asleep.
